Here are some suggestions.<\/p>\n<h2>WHAT TO SEE IN MENORCA<\/h2>\n<h3>Beaches of Menorca<\/h3>\n<p>Most people come to Menorca to enjoy its beaches.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The north coast of Menorca is wild and rugged<\/strong>.<br \/>\nMost of the beaches <strong>have dark sand and sparse vegetation<\/strong>.<br \/>\nOne of these is <strong>Cala Morell<\/strong>. It seems to have been founded by General Magon, Hannibal&#8217;s brother.<br \/>\nIt is a small town with a large natural harbor, and a nice historic center where all the main monuments are located. Among these it is worth mentioning <strong>the Gothic Church of Santa Maria<\/strong>, the Church of Carmen and the <strong>noble palaces<\/strong> that surround the various squares.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ciutadella<\/strong> is the ancient capital of Menorca. While walking through the streets of this town you will feel a peculiar atmosphere, due to the architecture of its buildings that mixes <strong>Arab and medieval styles<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<strong>Es Born<\/strong> is the boardwalk in Ciutadela. It ends in the homonymous square where most of the events and parties that animate Minorcan life take place throughout the year.<\/p>\n<h3>Toros Mountain<\/h3>\n<p>Toros Mountain is <strong>the highest peak in Menorca<\/strong> and is located right in the center of the island. This is why it is <strong>the perfect spot to observe the whole island in a single glance<\/strong>.<br \/>\nOn its top there is a 17th century sanctuary, now inhabited by a Franciscan community.<\/p>\n<p>At the foot of the mountain there is <strong>the small and picturesque village of Es Mercadal<\/strong>. It is worth a visit especially because it is famous for its restaurants where you can taste the excellent typical cuisine.<\/p>\n<h3>Archaelogical sites<\/h3>\n<p>Menorca has a decent archaeological heritage.<br \/>\nThe island is considered a sort of <strong>open-air museum<\/strong> thanks to several ruins scattered everywhere. Among these, are 500 prehistoric megaliths.<\/p>\n<p>The most important archaeological site in Menorca is <strong>Naveta de Tudons<\/strong>, a collective tomb that is also the largest prehistoric funerary monument on the island.\u2028 Another one that is worth a visit is <strong>Torre d\u2019En Galmes<\/strong>, a <strong>prehistoric citade<\/strong>l by the sea near Alaior.
