Baia dei Turchi, near Otranto<\/strong>, is one of the best beaches in Puglia. The name, Turkish Bay<\/em>, derives from the fact that, during the Ottoman invasion in 1480<\/strong><\/a>, some Turkish ships were wrecked here.<\/p>\n
