“Casa Orizzonte” is on the second floor of an old villa in Positano. Built at the end of the eighteenth century, it features a magnificent terrace from where you can enjoy the breathtaking ultramarine color of the sea.
The structure of the house is typical from Positano: high vaulted ceilings and hand painted ceramic tiles. The thick tufo walls keep the inside of the house extremely cool also during the hottest summer days.
The three large bedrooms, each furnished with a double bed and a closet, the living room and the dining room have French windows opening on the terrace and the beautiful view. The villa also features a fireplace, two bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen as well as air conditioning and heatings throughout the whole property.
At night you can experience the magical atmosphere of a village that looks like a “presepe” suspended on the rocks above the ocean, with the many yachts and sailboats anchored in the bay in front of you. Dining on the terrace or just laying in the wooden reclining chairs after a day spent at the beach, sightseeing along the coast or sailing to the islands, will give you unforgettable, relaxing moments.
The villa is situated in an area called “Chiesa Nuova”, on the main road leading from Sorrento to Amalfi and can be easily reached by private car, public transportation or taxi. A scenic private stairway of about 40 steps leads to its entrance. The center of the village, the restaurants, bars and shops are all in walking distance. The beaches can be reached in about 15 minutes through a scenic stairway (“scalinatella”) crossing the most picturesque areas of the village or by public bus, from the bus stop located 100 mt. from the house.
The location of “Casa Orizzonte” is also ideal for many different tours: from there you can easily reach Sorrento, Ravello, Pompei or Naples, either by bus (bus stop 100 mt. from the house) or private car, or you can take day trips by boat to Amalfi or Capri
Neighborhood and transport:
