Palazzo Doria is one of the most renowned monumental buildings in Naples, a place of extraordinary symbolic value located in the heart of the historic center.
The building dates back to 1784 and it was here that on 7 September 1860, Giuseppe Garibaldi from the representative balcony of the Gallery of Mirrors (Galleria degli Specchi) declared the annexation of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies to Italy.
