I usually write about places I’ve already been to. But this time I’m going to write about a place that is not open yet and where I definitely want to go. It’s the restaurant of the new Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay, opening on 30th June 2017.
All I know about this new hotel is that it is located in the Talamanca bay, a few minutes away from all the famous clubs and boutiques of Marina Botafoc, but it is also closed to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ibiza Town.
The hotel has many facilities such as seafront pools, bar, boutique, spa, beach club, and, of course, restaurants.
When talking about Japanese food the Nobu Restaurants chain is a guarantee brand. It’s not only a matter of high quality ingredients or techniques, but it’s also the style, the creativity and the innovation behind the project that make it an international reference point.
About this new restaurant in Ibiza, I’m expecting a true gastronomic experience based on the typical fusion cuisine of Nobu Matsuhisa.
On the official website of the new Nobu Restaurant they say that it will be “as relaxed and unpretentious as it is arousing and spontaneous”, just like the Ibizan lifestyle.
I’m very curious to see what they have on their menu. Surely it includes the most classical dishes of chef Nobu, a mix of Japanese and Western food tradition, but I read that he created new dishes specifically for this new hotel, taking inspiration from Ibiza itself. I can’t wait to discover these new creations!
I probably couldn’t attend the opening but I’m quite sure that this is one of the most awaited events of this summer in Ibiza. Why? It is simple. The Nobu Restaurant chain is co-owned with Meir Teper, James Packer but also Robert De Niro, and there are rumors that he will be there at the opening party.
You know, the combination of good food, spectacular location and glamor is always winning. I think that the Nobu Restaurant will give to people a new opportunity to enjoy Ibiza.
I will give you my review, as soon as I can go there for a dinner. Stay tuned.
