A Day in Menaggio, on the Shores of Lake Como

How to Reach the Town

Menaggio is located roughly midway between the southern tip of the lake and its northern end. Its central position makes it easily accessible from major cities in northern Italy.

If you’re driving, Menaggio is well-connected via regional roads. From Milan, it’s approximately 90 minutes away by car. The drive offers stunning scenery as you wind through mountains and along the lake’s edge.

The nearest train station is in Varenna, located across the lake. Once in Varenna, you need to board a ferry to the town—a scenic 15-minute ride across the water.
